Our Nurseries
At Active Childcare we are committed to providing children with the very best care and early years' education and we ensure that the children attending our nurseries are at the centre of everything we do.
Active Childcare runs Rossett House Nursery in Rossett and Little Scholars Nursery at The Centre for the Child, Family and Society at Glyndŵr University in Wrexham.
Our nurseries provide a bright, clean, comfortable and stimulating environment for every child.
We attach great importance to outdoors play and our extensive outdoor play areas provide children with a wealth of opportunities to explore the natural world, partake in a great variety of physical activities and generally enjoy playing in the fresh air – rain, sun wind or snow does not often prevent us having fun outside - after all, in nursery rain is for splashing in puddles and snow for building snowmen!
Careful attention is paid to children's nutrition needs and our meals and snacks are healthy, balanced and nutritionally balanced.
We have a talented, caring and dedicated staff team. Active Childcare staff are required to undergo a thorough vetting process including appropriate references and a Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) check. All of our staff undertake various training including childcare qualifications, first aid, food safety, child protection and customer service as well as other courses that are of particular interest or relevance to them such as Makaton, Foundation Phase training, Special Needs and many others.
